Local Author Launches Debut Teen Novel

(Toronto, ON) July 22, 2014: Local author will debut her paranormal teen romance novel “Wicka,” part of the “Chronicles of Elizabeth Blake” series on August 4th, 2014.
Christy, a creative writer has been working on the publication while raising three young children.
Set in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and various cities across Europe, “Wicka” is a present-day story of Elizabeth Blake, a smart but socially introverted teenager who travels to the south of France to complete her final year of high school. Here she meets her true love, finds out that she is a witch from an ancient family, and discovers that her life is in danger.
Meanwhile, the Elders—the most powerful coven of witches in the world—have been tracking Elizabeth since her birth. According to an ancient legend, a battle led by “One barely born existing to lead” will cause the downfall of the Elders. Fearing that Elizabeth is the heir to this legend, the Elders try to destroy her before she can fulfill the prophecy. She must muster all of her courage and learn to use her powers, to protect herself and her new found friends.
Author Christy Deveaux is proud that this is an excellent read for teenagers. “This is a clean, fun novel any teenager would enjoy,” said Deveaux. “It blends paranormal, romance, mystery, adventure and travel into one. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christy Deveaux is the author of The Chronicles of Elizabeth Blake series. Her highly anticipated first book in the series, Wicka, will be released this summer (2014). Inspired by traveling across Europe solo at a very young age, and having her own unique adventures along the way, the character and storyline behind Elizabeth Blake was born.
Christy majored in political science and earned a cross-disciplinary degree from the University of Western Ontario. She lives in Toronto, Ontario with her husband, three children and a fish named Cow.
